This book is fantastic. They have chosen “ukulele friendly keys” so you won’t often have to play difficult and complicated chords. They have chord charts on every page so you don’t have to go looking for how to play a new chord. They also have lyrics and the melodies notated so you can play or sing along.

Another wonderful book! Songs by The Eagles, John Denver, Cindy Lauper, Sting, The BeeGees, Train, Frank Sinatra, Van Morrisson, Bob Dylan, ABBA, Neil Diamond, Bill Withers, Amy Winehouse and MANY MORE! Every page includes the melody and lyrics as well as all the chords you will need for the song.

This book is great for players wanted to learn to READ MUSIC. They walk you through every note step by step and introduce reading music with fun and easy songs. This book is written for a high G ukulele but those with a low G can still use it.

Hal Leonard Ukulele Method

This book is great because it has notated all the melodies of the songs in TAB notation AND in score format. The font is nice and big and the songs are fun and easy to follow allong with. Songs include Elivs, Johnny Cash, Hank Wiliams, Simon & Garfunkel, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and many more!

Another wonderful book to pick out melodies from fun songs. TAB and score format are included and the book is really well laid out and clear. Songs from John Denver, B.B King, Glen Campbell, Leonard Cohen, Gordon Light Foot, James Taylor, Rolling Stones, Peter Paul & Mary and Many More!

Here are a few piano books that we highly recommend. Click on each title for a link to purchase.

A perfect beginner level piano book to get your started with the fundamentals.  It uses pre-staff notation before introducing the grand staff. Reading is presented with steps, skips, and repeated notes. Music includes a variety of original works, folk songs, and pop styles, many with duet accompaniments.

The next level in this piano book series after the primer. Level 1 may be used with students who have completed any Primer Level. It begins with easy pieces in the C position and presents C, F, and G 5-finger positions.

The next level in this piano book series after Level 1. Level 2 presents binary and ternary form, one-octave scales with tetrachords identified, intervals of 6th and 7th, primary chords, triads and inversions, 6/8 time, and the keys of D, A, and E.
