Glisha Dela Cruz is a Filipino-Canadian multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer who teaches voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele with a creative, encouraging, and contemporary approach. With a background in performance, songwriting, audio engineering, and music production, she brings a well-rounded and modern perspective to her lessons and is passionate about helping students build confidence in their voices while developing strong technical and performance skills.
From a young age, Glisha trained in voice, sang in choirs, and performed throughout the Greater Vancouver Area before transitioning into writing and releasing her own original music. She later attended Douglas College’s Music Technology Program, where she graduated with top honors.
Today, Glisha is an independent recording artist whose music has earned over four million streams worldwide. Her versatile discography has received numerous accolades at the Fraser Valley Music Awards, including Pop Artist of the Year (2024) and both First Place in the Dakota Leslie Fan Vote and R&B Artist of the Year (2023). She has performed across Canada and the United States, including the major stages at Surrey Fusion Festival and Surrey Canada Day, and has performed with concert company Sofar Sounds in cities such as Vancouver, Seattle, and Toronto.
As an instructor, Glisha strives to create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity, develop their unique sound, and grow into captivating artists. She especially enjoys coaching students through the art of performance, helping them feel comfortable and confident on stage. Inspired by pop, R&B, and acoustic music, she also loves teaching songwriting and production, encouraging students to use music as a creative and emotional outlet.
