WELCOME TO YOUR STUDENT HUB

We’re so happy you’re here. This page is for our monthly subscribers and is meant to be your go-to spot for all the helpful stuff in one place — booking info, lesson credits, studio perks, online resources, parking reminders, and a few extra details that make things easier behind the scenes.

Whether you need a quick refresher, want to grab a resource, or just can’t remember where something is, this page is here for you. Bookmark it and come back anytime.

YOUR SUBSCRIPTION.

Being a monthly subscriber comes with some great extras, and we want you to make the most of them.

Subscriber perks include:

  • monthly lesson credits

  • online learning resources

  • downloadable charts and handouts

  • private video resources

  • access to the lending library

  • priority access to certain classes, workshops, and opportunities

  • student performances and community events

  • optional student chat spaces and community connection

We’ll keep building and updating these resources over time, so this page will grow along with the studio.

BOOKING CREDITS & POLICIES.

The biggest thing that helps everything run smoothly is making sure your booking account is working properly.

We ask students to use their own account so you can log in, see your appointments, use your credits, and keep track of your schedule more easily.

The video below shows you how to create an account with Mechanics of Music and use it to manage your appointments.

You should be able to:

  • log into your account

  • see your past and upcoming lessons

  • book using your credits or codes

  • cancel or reschedule when needed

If anything doesn’t look right, or if you’re unsure how something works, just reach out. We're happy to help!

A few helpful booking tips

  • log in before booking whenever possible

  • use the same email/account each time

  • double-check your bookings after you make them

  • if you’re not sure something is already booked, ask us before paying again

  • some recurring classes may be booked by us, while workshops and special events may need self-registration

Lesson credits

Your monthly subscription includes lesson credits that can be used through your booking account.

If you’re ever unsure what your credits apply to, whether something should be booked by you or by us, or why something looks different than expected, please ask. It’s always easier to clear things up before a booking goes through than after.

Before checking out, it’s a good idea to take a quick look and make sure your credit or code has applied properly.

Cancellations & pauses

We do our best to keep things flexible while also making sure the schedule works well for teachers, students, and the studio as a whole.

We ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson and would like to keep that credit.

If you need a longer break, subscriptions can be paused for up to 6 months. After that, they would need to be cancelled rather than left on hold indefinitely.

Credit card processing fees are non-refundable, so we just like to be upfront about that from the beginning.

STUDIO INFO.

Parking & arrival

A note about parking at the studio:

  • BEST place to park - In front of: the studio, the green house across the street, the homes to the east of us and along 2nd Street.

  • Please AVOID parking - In front of: the yellow house and the blue houses nearby (205, 212, 214 Osborne Ave).

  • Please park facing the correct direction and try to avoid U-turns in front of neighbours’ homes.

If possible, try to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to get settled, tune up, and say hi before class starts.

FREE RESOURCES.

One of the fun perks of being a subscriber or purchasing a lesson package is getting access to extra resources outside of class.

These are here to make practice easier, help you stay inspired, and give you a few more tools to work with between lessons. Some are practical, some are fun, and some are just nice to have when you need a little extra support.

Free chord charts and resources

Our PayHip library includes resources like chord charts, songbooks, beginner guides, handouts, and other helpful tools for guitar, ukulele, bass, and voice. All FREE to subscribers!

Your subscriber code: ROCKSTAR

How to use your PayHip code

  1. Click the PayHip link below.

  2. Choose the chart or resource you’d like.

  3. Enter your subscriber code at checkout.

  4. Once your order is complete, your download will be ready right away.

Please keep this code private so it stays just for current subscribers.

Private video playlist

You also have access to a private student playlist filled with helpful videos and extra support between lessons.

Inside, you’ll find things like play-along videos, class recaps, technique tips, song help, and little practice reminders to keep you going.

We’ll keep adding to it over time, so it’s a great place to check back for new resources now and then.

Lending library

Monthly subscribers are welcome to borrow from our lending library.

If you take something home, please sign it out and return it within a reasonable time so other students can enjoy it too. We’re keeping the system simple, easy, and based on trust.

COMMUNITY & SUPPORT.

A big part of Mechanics of Music is community, and your subscription is part of that too.

Along with lessons and resources, being a subscriber can also mean being more connected to what’s happening around the studio — from performances and group projects to events, chats, and other opportunities to join in.

As a subscriber, you get access to:

  • student performances

  • community events

  • group projects

  • special workshops

  • optional student chats and connection spaces

You never have to do everything, of course — but if you want to take part a little more, we’d love that.

Need help?

If you ever get stuck on booking, credits, logging in, resources, or just aren’t sure what applies to you, reach out anytime.

We’re happy to help.
