It’s designed to showcase the incredible talent in our music community while creating a welcoming, joyful atmosphere where people of all ages can come together and enjoy live music in the park.

Mechanics of Music Fest takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Westminster Pier Park in New Westminster, BC.

The festival runs from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM, giving guests a full afternoon to enjoy performances, explore booths, connect with community partners, and soak up the festival atmosphere by the river.

How much does it cost to attend?

The festival is free to attend, making it an easy and accessible event for the whole community to enjoy. We want as many people as possible to come out, support local music, and be part of the celebration. Whether you stay for the whole afternoon or just stop by for part of the event, everyone is welcome.

With live music, open outdoor space, community booths, and a positive atmosphere, it’s a great outing for kids, teens, adults, and grandparents alike.

From newer performers building confidence on stage to more experienced bands bringing energy to the crowd, the lineup is all about showcasing the amazing talent in our community.

The goal is to create more than just a concert experience, with plenty for guests to enjoy throughout the day while they listen to music and spend time with family and friends.

We recommend bringing a blanket or lawn chair, along with sunscreen, water, and anything else you’d like for a comfortable afternoon outdoors. Since the festival takes place in the park, it’s a good idea to dress for the weather and come prepared to relax and enjoy a few hours of live music and summer fun.

Yes — parking is available at Westminster Pier Park. Guests should allow themselves a little extra time to arrive, find parking, and get settled before the performances begin. Since this is a public park and a community event, it’s always a good idea to plan ahead and arrive early if you want to grab a good spot and enjoy the full day.

Current Mechanics of Music Students: Register through the Performer Registration Form on the website. There is a $30 performer fee to help cover venue costs.
